MAAK & TRANSMETTRE
M&T is the story of a beautiful friendship and artistic encounter between Alice, Mathilde, and Salomé. Since 2020, they have been creating together in their Brussels-based studio, working hand in hand, confronting ideas and desires, and giving rise to surprising, elegant, and unique materials.
Their expertise in interior, textile, and design practices resonates to create innovative proposals. Drawing inspiration from architecture, their textile pieces dress spaces and infuse them with a soft, comforting atmosphere.
A NEW PERSPECTIVE
The collective reinvents the tufting technique by diverting it from its traditional use. Rugs are no longer confined to the floor: they rise, become walls, curtains, architectural elements.
Their creations transform space and create unique atmospheres, at the crossroads of art and design. Each piece is conceived as a visual and immersive experience, where textile becomes a true vector of emotion and singularity. Their work combines artisanal craftsmanship with collaborations alongside local industries.
TRANSMIT & CO-CREATE
Transmission lies at the heart of their approach. Through talks and socio-educational workshops with diverse audiences, they share their know-how and open the creative process to exchange.
These encounters nourish their practice and give rise to works in which textile becomes a shared ground for expression, dialogue, and collective experimentation.
100% WOOL
Wool embodies the soul of each of their creations. A living material, it insulates, softens sound, and reveals a palette of deep, vibrant colors.
The wool yarns are sourced primarily from La Creuse, France, from a Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant – EPV) committed to local production. Through this choice, they affirm their desire to reconnect with a territory by rehabilitating an ancestral, natural material.

At ease in the field of communication, with a keen eye for contemporary creation and design, Alice is happy to engage in scenography and curation to connect different worlds together.
Drawing on her diverse industrial experience, Mathilde specializes in knitwear and industrial textile techniques. She takes a sensitive approach to the world of colors, which influence and punctuate her research into materials.
Having written a dissertation on the curtain as a strong architectural element, Salomé knows how to share her expertise on this textile object, in addition to her teaching and knowledge-transfer skills.
