Le tapis comme langage – Édition 2
A new edition of “Tapis comme langage” has enabled the non-profit organization Maak & Transmettre to continue organizing workshops around the form of the carpet as a vehicle for dialogue. A group of 7 literacy learners from the Maison des Enfants in Anderlecht have been taking part over the past eight months. This new edition has been strengthened by the know-how of the previous year’s learners, thanks to the introduction of a mentoring system. Using the tuft technique, the aim is to enhance the value of doing without using words as the only means of communication. In particular, we worked on the representation of symbols. The project fostered a sense of trust and caring between the learners and the facilitators, allowing each of them to express their creativity. The result was a large collective carpet, a symbol of pride and empowerment for this group of women. With Fanta, Nénén, Rabia, Régine, Anifatou, Hafida, Mariam.
In partnership with the Maison des Enfants d’Anderlecht
Supported by the Loterie Nationale “Lutte contre la pauvreté et inclusion sociale”, by Ateliers Créatifs de la COCOF
