Mutation – FACE B
To kick off 2023, the Maak & Transmettre team presented its creations in Brussels for the first time. Following a meeting with Daphna Krygier and Assal Sharifrazi of Face-B, the M&T trio was lucky to gain access to their space in the Sablon, at 18 rue Lebeau. This provided an opportunity to invite other artists to exhibit in the space: Alice Pandolfo’s lighting fixtures, Agathe Bertin’s ceramic-mouldings and Studio Biskt’s extruded research. The exhibition thus became a time for exchange and mediation, allowing for workshops and wonderful encounters! Mutation combined 4 artistic worlds for the duration of an exhibition. Cookie shellfish emerging from the sand, painted textiles challenging the space, luminous vines falling from the ceiling, and a mystical rock to quench one’s thirst. The works guide the viewer through traces from a before or an after. A work mutates from one state to another, while retaining its initial DNA. Mutation means adapting to one’s environment.
In partnership with Face B
Exhibitors : Maak & Transmettre, Studio Biskt, Agathe Bertin,
Alice Pandolfo
Supported by the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, Art & Vie.
