Mutation – FACE B
To kick off 2023, the Maak & Transmettre team is exhibiting its creations for the first time in Brussels. Following a meeting with Daphna Krygier and Assal Sharifrazi from Face-B, the M&T trio had the opportunity to access their space at 18 rue Lebeau, in the Sablon. This was the perfect occasion to invite other artists to exhibit in this venue: Alice Pandolfo’s lighting, Agathe Bertin’s ceramic casts, and Studio Biskt’s extruded research. This exhibition period also served as a moment of exchange and mediation, with workshops and inspiring encounters.
Mutation brings together four artistic universes for a temporary encounter. Biscuit-like crustaceans emerge from the sand, painted textiles explore the space, luminous vines hang from the ceiling, and a mystical rock invites contemplation. The works guide the viewer through traces of a “before” or “after.” The evolution of an artwork moves from one state to another while retaining its original DNA. Mutation is about adapting to one’s environment
In partnership with Face B
Exhibitors: Maak & Transmettre, Studio Biskt, Agathe Bertin, Alice Pandolfo
Supported by Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, dispositif Art & Vie.
