“Una alfombra para acurrucarse, estirarse, ver el Árbol del viajero oscilar bajo la brisa de la ventana entreabierta…”

July 2022, at the invitation of Galerie 550 in Santiago, Chile, for a solo show of the large tufted piece À l’ombre, alanguies. It consists of a wall with a window that extends to the floor as a carpet/seat. The colors evoke a sunset in the south of France: that fleeting moment when the colors of the walls shifts and the shadows grow. Gallery 550 is so small that the tufted piece fits snugly into it, allowing a closer, more intimate interaction between the viewer and the work. A bench at the rear of the gallery also allows the viewer to look through the window into the street when the gallery door is open.
